Matteo Moretti loves his fast-paced career as CEO for a large company but is blindsided when the owner tells him he's letting him go to make room for his daughter (who happens to date Matteo). I thoroughly enjoyed Matteo's Treasure. It's a fun story that's packed with some great romantic tension as well as some great spiritual wisdom. You will just love Matteo and Bianca as well as Bianca's two children. They are so full-of-life yet flawed, just like we are. No perfect people here! I like the way Bianca and Matteo each influenced the others life but in different ways. Seeing all the brothers together was great fun; I like the way they interacted together. Triple-M is also home to some very spirited horses that you will get to meet. This is the third book in The Moretti Men Series and although I have enjoyed the other two books (Micah's Jewel and Merek's Gift) I think this was my favorite in the series. So...what is Matteo's Treasure? I recommend you head on over to the Triple-M, grab some coffee and find out.

Under a Turquoise Sky will immediately draw you in and won't let you go until the last page is turned. You'll find action, suspense and of course, romance. I totally fell in love with Kailyn and Aaron. Kailyn is someone you can't help but like and wish you had her for a friend. She's so good hearted and genuine. Aaron was one of those heroes you just gravitate to. He's strong, capable and rough around the edges, yet deep down his heart is tender. Together these two were explosive. I absolutely loved ALL the romantic tension and snappy dialog between them. It was great! One thing that I really appreciated was the way Kailyn's faith made a difference in people's lives, especially Aaron's. I also appreciated that though folks on the reservation were believers, they still maintained their heritage. I will say that there were a couple of places in the story that made me wonder why Kailyn or Aaron acted the way they they did, but in no way did it distract me from the story itself. This is the first thing I've read by Lisa Carter but I can assure you it won't be my last. I have just added her to my 'favorite authors' list! If you enjoy a good romantic suspense, loaded with lots of great romantic tension, then I definitely recommend you look... Under a Turquoise Sky.

Keep that in mind as you're reading and be sure to read the author's note at the end. So settle in and get ready because On the Wings of the Eagle you'll find a story that will linger in your mind long after the last page is turned.

Elin Summerall was able to receive a heart transplant but she's having a
hard time dealing with what came with it. The woman she received the
heart from was murdered and now Elin is having flashbacks of the murder
and even some of the feelings, likes and dislikes of the donor. Cell
memory is what they call it, but the police are having a hard time
buying it and it's brought her a lot of unwanted attention, especially
from the killer. Marc Everton is an off-duty FBI agent who is
investigating the murder of his partner. It takes him to Hope Island and
to Elin. Marc and Elin have a history together and he agrees to help
protect her and her daughter. Messages from the killer let them know
he's never far away. Can they figure out the mystery before it's too
late?
Seagrass Pier is one that holds your attention all the way
through. It's got, action, suspense, mystery and, of course, romance.
The characters were great to get to know. I enjoyed meeting Elin and
Marc. The secondary characters were great as well, especially Sara and
Josh. You'll definitely find a faith thread running through the story
but it was very natural and not over powering. I appreciated the
author's note at the end where she reminds us how we grow and change but
our "identity is in Christ who teaches us how to love others". There
was one aspect of the story that didn't really have a conclusion. I
won't say what it is, as it might be a spoiler. Perhaps it will be
concluded in another Hope Beach story in the future. This was a great
addition to the Hope Beach Series and although it's the third book in
the series, you could very easily read it as a stand alone. If you're
looking for a few hours of adventure, I recommend you dock your boat at
Seagrass Pier.

Jo McDaniels is living in Oregon, happily married, and expecting their
first child. Jo is content with her life, that is until her old boss
wants her help catching the serial killer that managed to escape them in
Maine. Harland Briggs has reappeared and is leaving a trail of carnage
across the country. Jo was the original profiler on that case and she
knows with her gift she can help catch him. Her husband doesn't want her
to help. He feels it's too much pressure for her and the baby and way
to dangerous. He may be right, but Jo won't rest until the monster is
apprehended.
Malice is a great follow-up to Ties That Bind. It's
one that keeps you totally involved from beginning to end but does deal
with a difficult subject matter. Harland Briggs and the things he does
are pure evil. I found myself mostly reading during the daylight hours. I
thoroughly enjoyed the relationship between our lead couple. The ups
and downs they experienced made it feel very authentic. I also enjoyed
Isaac (Jo's old boss). I thought he added a lot to the story. Bailey is a
teen that was fun to get to know. There was an unexpected twist at the
end that I thought was great! If you enjoy CSI or similar type stories, I
would definitely recommend Malice.

I was glued to the pages of Ties
That Bind. The book sure puts you through your emotional paces though,
as you experience murder through the eyes of a vicious killer. It was
written is a realistic way which made it believable and scary. The
characters were all lifelike, and fully fleshed out. They were real
people with real problems. The relationship between Jo and Austin was a
slow build that felt very natural and true to life. You learn about
being a profiler which I found very interesting. You'll also find a
message of family importance, faith, forgiveness, and relationship
restoration. If you enjoy crime shows like CSI or NCIS, then I know you
will thoroughly enjoy Ties That Bind.

Gina Gray has always been smart, to the point that she's always felt
awkward. She would love to be married but can't seem to find the right
guy. When she has yet another break-up, she heads for her brothers house
to focus on her ocean research and see if her brother knows any nice
navy guys he could introduce her to. Mark Bishop is commander of a
ballistic missile submarine and a very good friend of Gina's brother.
He's a widow who thinks it might be time to marry again. When Gina's
brother introduces the idea of him dating Gina, Mark puts the idea aside
because he thinks she too young for him. But Gina does intrigue him and
she does know and understand what Navy life is all about. When Gina
makes a startling discovery, she shares it with Mark and seeks his
advice about what to do with the information. It's something that will
change submarine warfare but it also poses some risks. As Gina and Mark
work together they find an easy friendship, but will it ever be more?
Undetected
was an enjoyable story. I read Unspoken so was curious to find out
about Bryce's brother. Mark was a lot like his brother, strong, secure
but also had a tenderness to him that really made him appealing. He was
also very romantic. Gina was very sweet and especially kind even though
she was very smart. They both had faith yet were able to encourage each
other. I really enjoyed getting to know all the characters. It was great
to briefly meet up with Bryce and Charlotte again. Undetected was not
an 'edge-of-your-seat' kind of story at all, but there was a tense part.
I did feel that the story sometimes got bogged down in too much detail
yet it was all very interesting. I enjoyed the relationship between Mark
and Gina although it was a very slow and gentle build. I have always
enjoyed Dee Henderson's stories but I must admit the style of her work
has changed quite-a-bit from her earlier writing. The cover is beautiful
and overall it was a good story; you get a taste of what it might be
like to live on a submarine or be the loved one waiting on shore.

Silenced is
book 4 in the Alaskan Courage Series and I must say I have thoroughly
enjoyed this entire series! I have really come to love the McKenna
family who are tight-knit, but full of personality. This is a series
that I highly recommend reading in order, mostly for the family dynamics
and growth. Kayden and Jake are the star players in this story but you
have the benefit of seeing the whole family, which I loved. The
relationship between our lead couple is pensive but slowly and naturally
develops. One thing I really appreciated was the everyday simple faith
the character possessed (which I find encouraging), no spiritual heavy
handedness. The author does a great job keeping you guessing who it is,
until near the end where you then embark on a nail-biting ride to the
end. I highly recommend you discover the Alaskan frontier and get to
know the wonderful McKenna family. You'll be glad you did. (Submerged,
Shattered, Stranded and Silenced). Now I am looking forward to
Sabotaged!
