A NOVEMBER BRIDE by Beth K. Vogt

Sadie McAllister is a great cook and loves being a personal chef to some very appreciative clients.   But she just can't seem to cook-up any romance in her life, although she's tried.  Erik Davis is a great guy with a great sense of humor and although he has no trouble finding a girlfriend, no one seems to be the 'right one'.  Erik and Sadie have been best friends for years.  They enjoy each others company and always have each others backs.  Erik especially enjoys his once-a-week meals with Sadie.  When the family Sadie works for decides to move out west they invite Sadie to move with them.  Erik realizes that in looking for the right one, he may have missed the obvious.  Sadie knows moving would be a great opportunity for her but is she willing to leave her home behind; not to mention Erik, who just might be her future.  Can the love between two best friends turn into to something much deeper?

This was a great little story.  I enjoyed getting to know Sadie and Erik.  Both were fun-loving and down-to-earth in spite of the fact that they've both had some pretty deep hurts.  Hurts that have made them cautious.  I just loved how Sadie's friend Mel, and Erik's friend Phillip played an important roll in each of their lives.  It's a good reminder that having a good friend is as important as being a good friend; someone who knows you really well and will be honest with you, even if it's not what you want to hear.  So, how does it all turn out?  I recommend you pick up A November Bride and find out!  The story is sure to warm your heart on a chilly November day!

MATTEO'S TREATURE by Anna Dynowski

Matteo Moretti loves his fast-paced career as CEO for a large company but is blindsided when the owner tells him he's letting him go to make room for his daughter (who happens to date Matteo).  Matteo is furious.  He knows he can get another job but first he must to take his turn on the Triple-M Farm.  He's a three-piece-suite kind of guy, definitely not a cowboy, but it would be a chance to get away and rethink his future.  The one thing he didn't count on was a housekeeper named Bianca Fielding, or her two very cute children, who have taken a personal interest in him.  Bianca has a way of stirring things inside Matteo he didn't know existed and wishing for things he didn't know he wanted.  All he has to do is fulfill the terms of the will and he can get on with his life and forget about the Triple-M, or will a ride on Midnight Magic change everything?

I thoroughly enjoyed Matteo's Treasure.  It's a fun story that's packed with some great romantic tension as well as some great spiritual wisdom.  You will just love Matteo and Bianca as well as Bianca's two children.   They are so full-of-life yet flawed, just like we are. No perfect people here!   I like the way Bianca and Matteo each influenced the others life but in different ways.   Seeing all the brothers together was great fun; I like the way they interacted together.  Triple-M is also home to some very spirited horses that you will get to meet.  This is the third book in The Moretti Men Series and although I have enjoyed the other two books (Micah's Jewel and Merek's Gift) I think this was my favorite in the series.  So...what is Matteo's Treasure?  I recommend you head on over to the Triple-M, grab some coffee and find out.

UNDER A TURQUOISE SKY by Lisa Carter

Kailyn Eudailey is terrified when she witnesses her best friend, Gabby Flores, being murdered by her Mexican Mafia husband, Esteban Flores. She quickly finds herself in the witness protection program with agent Steve Matthews, until she can testify against Flores. Steve calls on his adopted son, Agent Aaron Matthews to help hide her. Sparks fly when they meet because she recognizes him as Rafael Chavez, one of Flores' men. The last thing Aaron wants is to have to deal with a spoiled southern bell! When the mafia comes after her, Aaron whisks her away to the one place he thinks they'll never find them, the place of his true heritage, the Navajo Reservation. He's sure, given Kailyn's high society background, that she'll have a hard time adjusting to the simple way of life, but with each passing day, she surprises him with the way she's fitting in and winning over everyone she meets. Their 'cover' is feeling more and more real everyday and Aaron seems to be losing his heart. His job is to protect her but he's having a hard time protecting his heart. Kailyn is not only falling in love with Aaron, but also with the peaceful way of life on the 'Rez'. Danger however, is lurking just around and from where you least expect it. Kailyn's faith will be tested to it's limit and Aaron just might find himself having to trust the God he thinks has failed him.

Under a Turquoise Sky will immediately draw you in and won't let you go until the last page is turned. You'll find action, suspense and of course, romance. I totally fell in love with Kailyn and Aaron. Kailyn is someone you can't help but like and wish you had her for a friend. She's so good hearted and genuine. Aaron was one of those heroes you just gravitate to. He's strong, capable and rough around the edges, yet deep down his heart is tender. Together these two were explosive. I absolutely loved ALL the romantic tension and snappy dialog between them. It was great! One thing that I really appreciated was the way Kailyn's faith made a difference in people's lives, especially Aaron's. I also appreciated that though folks on the reservation were believers, they still maintained their heritage. I will say that there were a couple of places in the story that made me wonder why Kailyn or Aaron acted the way they they did, but in no way did it distract me from the story itself. This is the first thing I've read by Lisa Carter but I can assure you it won't be my last. I have just added her to my 'favorite authors' list! If you enjoy a good romantic suspense, loaded with lots of great romantic tension, then I definitely recommend you look... Under a Turquoise Sky.
